Clayworks studio during EAST 2007
The East Austin Studio Tour is going all out this year, and so is Clayworks. The tour has been expanded to two weekends with a full week of Eastside arts events between.
Last year’s E.A.S.T. was our busiest ever, and once again the production area where we mix our own clay and fashion it into finished pieces will be open to visitors. Expect to see tile making, wheel throwing and glazing demonstrations. If you would like to make a little something out of clay, you are welcome to do so, and we’ll fire it for you to pick up later.

We will be hosting artist Barbara Lugge for the first time in 2009. She will be showing and demonstrating her lovely and meticulous thread paintings and paper constructions. And guest potter Bob Swaffer will be with us again this year, demonstrating and selling his work.
Neon artist Ben Livingston, whose work we display in our Breezeway Gallery, will be demonstrating his fascinating craft and inviting visitors to give it a try.
